Dr Emma Moffatt
Emma grew up on a grazing property at Wollomombi, near Armidale. She originally trained as a registered nurse and midwife then completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland. Dr Emma worked in far western NSW and returned to work in the New England/ Northwest. She then moved to Manilla in 2014 to complete her GP training and stayed on after obtaining her Fellowship. Dr Emma purchased the practice in 2018. She had always wanted to be a GP in a rural area and Manilla has been an ideal community for her young family.
Emma enjoys the variety and constant learning that work in general practice offers. She enjoys Hospital work in a small town and the continuity of admitting patients to hospital from the community and caring for them on discharge. She has additional skills in being a certified DAME for aviation medicine, and has special interest in women’s and children's health. She has a commitment to chronic disease management and aged care.
JUDE
Nurse
Jude is a highly experienced Registered Nurse with over four decades of dedication to patient care across hospital and general practice settings. Currently part of the team at Rural Medical Clinic in Manilla, Jude brings extensive clinical expertise, a compassionate approach, and a genuine commitment to improving community health outcomes. Her nursing career began at St George Hospital, Kogarah, where she completed her training in 1982. Since then, Jude has worked across a range of environments including Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, Barton Lane Practice (now Tallowwood), and community health programs throughout the New England region.
Jude’s special interests include women’s health, immunisation, chronic disease management, and preventative healthcare. She has been an Authorised Immuniser since 2005 and has delivered countless immunisation and health education clinics for adults and children alike. Her warm and approachable manner ensures patients feel supported and informed every step of the way.She is also skilled in areas such as wound management, venepuncture, spirometry, Doppler studies, sleep intervention, and cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia. Jude’s long-standing involvement in both clinical and community health has made her a respected and trusted member of the region’s healthcare network.

Outside of work, Jude enjoys travel and holistic wellness, holding additional qualifications in remedial massage and aromatherapy, reflecting her belief in the value of whole-person care.
ANDREA
Nurse
Andrea is a dedicated Registered Nurse with extensive experience in general practice, aged care, and community health. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of New England and multiple advanced qualifications, including immunisation accreditation, ear irrigation and reproductive and sexual health training. Andrea has a strong background in patient care coordination, chronic disease management, women’s health, and vaccination programs. She is skilled in leading clinical teams, developing care plans, and providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
With a career spanning hospitals, aged care, and rural medical clinics, Andrea is committed to improving health outcomes and building trusted relationships with patients and their families. She is a proud member of the Australian Practice Nurse Association and The Australian College of Nursing.

Short Consult = 1 Simple query that can be dealt within under 5 mins.
Med Consult = One or two simple queries that can be dealt within 15 mins.
Long Consult = One complex, or multiple simple queries that can be dealt within 30 mins.
Longer Consult = Multiple complex queries/issues requiring up to 45 mins attendance.
GAP = Out of pocket amount for Full Fee or Concession rates.
Practice Info
Bulk Billing
We currently bulk-bill patients who are:
- Children 16 years or younger
- Aged pension cardholders
- Defence veterans
We offer a reduced concession fee for those patients who are:
- Full-time students with a valid student card
- Health card cardholders
- Disability Pension cardholders
- Other government-approved concession cardholders
A VALID CARD MUST BE PRESENTED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR BULK-BILLING AND/OR CONCESSION FEES.
Medicare rebates are processed immediately and directly through Tyro for patient convenience.
Cancellations
Please notify the surgery as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. Failure to do so may result in a $20 late cancellation/non-attendance fee, which is not refunded by Medicare.
Referrals
Continual referrals can only be requested during consultation with your doctor. All referrals must be written BEFORE you see the specialist. It is illegal for any doctor to write a referral AFTER the specialist has seen you.
Results
All results are processed/actioned by the treating doctor. We recommend that our patients make a follow-up appointment with their doctor. Alternatively, you may be contacted by our practice nurse who will advise you of the doctor’s comment and if a follow-up appointment is required. It is advisable to call the Practice after 2pm to allow for urgent calls to be attended to in the mornings.
Repeat Scripts
Should you require a repeat script you will need to attend a script-only appointment. Under certain circumstances, there may be a script fee if you are unable to attend the practice
